It is no secret that Gone with the Wind is my favorite movie... and book. When I was a little girl I loved watching it to see all the beautiful antebellum dresses. When I was around twelve years old my parents gave me the book for Christmas, and I quite literally wore the copy out.
I've always believed a line from Gone with the Wind can be applied to every day, and most situations.
Boy problems?
"Why does a girl have to be so silly to catch a husband?"
Feeling a little off?
"... you need kissing, badly. That's what's wrong with you. You should be kissed, and often. And by someone who knows how."
I have used a few lines from the last scene of the book for a couple of break ups -- but not the line you're thinking of.
The book came through for me again yesterday when my Trojans ended an eight year winning streak to Notre Dame.
"The Irish are the damnedest race." -- Rhett Butler
And I'm back to feeling better. Thank you, GWTW.
