i realize this video is probably the same quality as a music video you did when you were twelve-years-old, but before we left we decided we wanted to take more video so we could kind of relive the experience. i am so glad we did. how many times do you get to go to israel in your life? for us, it probably won't be many, but we do want to go back!
the most common question i've had was, "why israel?" this was a lesson to me that we all have places we would like to see and explore, and some we just aren't interested in. i have always dreamed of going to israel, and around this time last year, matt and i thought, "if not now, when?" we are young (kind of), our schedules miraculously allowed for it, and we don't have kids.
the second most common question i had was always something related to safety. we never felt unsafe in israel, and for the majority of our time, it felt like a trip to california. jerusalem is the only exception to that california feel, because jerusalem is probably unlike any city we'll ever go to. i was shocked at how beautiful israel is, and i hope we were able to capture some of that in the videos. if not, pictures are coming soon. :)
